Avid Mbox Pro Drivers don't install properly. Downloaded the drivers, installed them, Avid Mbox Pro is still in my device manager as a device without drivers installed. ProTools does not recognize a connected hardware interface (obviously, since drivers are not installed)
Anyone out there?? Know how to fix this? |

I had the same problem and went nuts over it but through trial and error I found a solution for my system:
Even though the FireWire driver seemed to have installed correctly and the device manager showed no problems with the FireWire controller the driver was NOT correctly installed. I tried: - right-click on FW controller (chip: Texas Instruments 1394) - Update driver - Automatic driver update And, oh wonders, it found a driver, installed it and suddenly the mbox pro was OK. |
