Default iLok Problem.

Ok guys,

I have a teeny problem - today after replacing my monitor and graphics card after they decided to go at the same time - the computer told me that the drivers for the iLok were not working. So I did the right thing and downloaded the License Manager (!!!) at iLok to get rid of the problem. So far so good.

Then I went and tried to log into my account and tried all the usual suspects for what would be my "User ID" and "Password" but for the life of me cannot remember either.

Try "Forgot User ID and Password" link I hear you say. Well ..... that allows me to type in the email address when I created my account, which thanks to the major telco in Australia is no longer working, don't get me started on that, it a whole 'nother rant.

So is this account, as well as the software that was activated on it gone like the Dodo? Can any of it be recovered?

As always any help is greatly appreciated,
Verc.

Did you try any of the account troubleshooting steps?

Try going trough the "My Account Issues" tab first.

You can also create a support ticket at iLok.com

Thanks for the reply Benoni.

I did try the initial troubleshooting steps, but, because the email had been changed recently - due to issues beyond my control - that is, a stupid monopolized telecommunications company in our country - I was unable to use that to recover my User ID and password.

That company just bloody well took my account from the ISP I was with, without my bloody authorisation - and put me on one of their Internet Packages. I was this close to reporting them to the telecommunications ombudsman - but, that could've caused me some real trouble with the aforementioned telco.

Luckily for me, someone "remembered" what my User ID was and was able to use that to get access to my account. That was a huge weight lifted from my shoulders . Many thanks goes out to that person .

Regards,
Verc.
