Pro Tools 8 & Disk Permission errors

It appears that every time I use Pro Tools 8, I end up having to repair permissions on my machine. If I don't repair permissions every time, Pro Tools takes about 5 minutes to launch (where it was almost immediate before).

I'm using Pro Tools v8 cs3, with an MBox on a Mac Pro Quad 2.66 with 3 GB of RAM and 2 1TB internal drives.
