Default Count Midi Notes In Clip

Hey All,

Anyone know of a way to count the midi notes in a clip?
Long story, but knowing the amount of midi notes in a clip would really be beneficial for a process im about to do.
Any help would be appreciated!

Cheers.

To see the number of events (notes) within a clip:

Select the MIDI clip then go to the main PT menu and choose Window>MIDI Events List
or use Alt + = (Windows) or Option + = (Mac) shortcut.

The number of events within the selected clip are listed at the top.

I just discovered that when I had tested this out for you guys there was only 1 MIDI clip on the timeline.
However, if there are several clips on the timeline, the number shown is for the TOTAL number of events in the whole track. Even when selecting an individual clip.

So if you are comparing among several clips on a track, you'll need to create a new MIDI/Instrument track and then move an individual clip to that track when you need a specific event count.

Nice one Dave!
I was hoping that in the process the guys will figure out how to calculate the Megaball #'s via clip counting.

That should be legit shouldn't it? lol
