Been reading a little about the new ATMOS spec by Dolby. Specifically 'Brave' is being released here in LA in a few theaters using this surround format (64 channel).
Wondering if any of you know about the back end, creation more specifically. I'm thinking general pans in maybe a 7.1 mix are generalized across a larger set of speakers to give more localization and of course a richer experience to those outside of the theatrical sweet spot? Not sure converting current dub stages to 64 cone theaters is financially viable so is this more play with phase? thanks Mike
