Disk Allocation Problems Help!
The original disk allocation for this session can not be used one or more drivers could not be found or are invalid for this session. As a result disc allocation has been modified. Would you like to verify a new disk allocation.
Help!!! I run a 002 rack with pro tools 6.1 and i have an external fire wire drive. Everything has been going fine until yesterday when i get this messgae. All my audio files are still there and my audio drive boots. I haven't changed any settings.... Does anyone know whats going on ? |

Re: Disk Allocation Problems Help!
Yeah, this has happened to me a couple of times, and the first time
scared the crap out of me.... it was an important project with the guy standing there looking over my shoulder freakin' This appears to be a FireWire related issue that pops up once in a while, and makes it appear that PT can't find your files Go to the Workspace menu selection (I think it's under the Windows menu, but I'm at work right now and can't check). Workspace will list your drive volumes and allow you to select R (record) P (playback) or T (Transfer) In the A column (Audio), make sure that R is selected for the drive in question. Back out of the menu, reboot and you should be good. This has happened to me twice even though I've always started the components in the proper order. Hope this helps, Dave
