Default Operational Question !

I seem to have lost the ability to tab forward whilst holding shift to extend a range!- using the @ key. It used to work im sure ! Any ideas? . I can do the same pressing SHIFT and TAB but the l'p; keys are laid out in a better way.

thanks for any help.
