looks like the cheapest way to get HD-SDI outputs and gen-lock with Pro Tools on a separate system.
just put one in and it is working
you need to download the current drivers (9.x) the disk was 1.0 from 09
we get the ocasional message about it not being locked to reference but it's working OK

we do hundreds of animated shows, and use the quicktime split screen, no problem. the client is screening the sfx and music, not color correcting. we don't use it on the mix stage , but for editing and sfx screening its fine.

Hi,
Pro tools 10 is out!
I read the manual about video out options. in page 1192 of the reference guide it says that Video Out PCIe is mac only. is it true? does any one with a Win7 machine and a Black Magic Intensity pro can tell me if this is working for him?
I am asking this because i have an old Mojo and it is 100% working with Win 7 althogh i can read in page 1190 that firewire out is a Mac option only.
So before i order my new BM Intensity Pro for my Win7 64 bit PC, i need to make sure that it is a safe configuration.

thanx
Eyal

Video options have not changed with pro tools 10. Black magic have always been mac only. Firewire out is also mac only except for mojo which is a proprietary avid product. If you are on a pc mojo Is still your only option. As far as I know Pro tools is working on pc drivers for black magic But they are long overdue

Drat! Still no support for the video options of Avid MC (especially the Matrox interfaces), and no support for Blackmagic's Thunderbolt video interfaces?

Are MacBookPro users screwed as usual?

I'm using the Blackmagic Ultrastudio3D via thunderbolt.

Syncing to my HD system via Satellite LE. Dedicated video system is a MacMini (2011 i7quad server) running PT10 out the thunderbolt (labeled PCIe in the video window but works just the same) out to the Ultrastudio via 2 Lacie Little Big Discs (thunderbolt) and to my projector. Genlock off of the SDI output to my sync io.

Works brilliantly with protools. Highly recommended!

With Satellite LE running on a PT9/PT10 based system, do you still need an Mbox Micro (or any Avid hardware)-- since the PT systems themselves no longer require this.

So can I just get PT10 and satellite with no Avid hardware?

9 and 10 do not require an interface to work but you may want to conceder an interface that can take a WC input
