Hey Rams boy,

Are those Roland SRX Dynamic Drums for the 5080 in SC format or do they need to be converted somehow?

The SRX sounds are installed on an expansion board. I assume they would have to be resampled to whatever format you wanted.

Love my SSC. Make use of Recycle 2 as well to export to SSC. Fun fun fun....

I have been using GigaSampler for over a year now and love it. Yet, I just made the switch from PC to MAC and need something that works as well on the new platform.

Can I move my GigaSampler GM disk into SSC? Can I convert all of the Akai disks that I have to the new platform?

I used Osmosis to convert from Akai. I did the entire Quantum Leap Brass and some others...worked perfectly....for me.....I don't think there's any mystery to it.

Osmosis works with "simple programmed"CD Roms but for example you can't convert "Ultimate pianos"
Akai CD: the tunings are completely insane; had also problems with other CDs especially with envelopes and velocitiy mapping.I just hope DIGI will update SSC to read directly Akai and other formats like ESX does.

We're all waiting for Chickensys to release a mac version of their Translator. I'm confident it will work great and it can convert almost anything.
