Default Stupid question, I know.

I'm really new to protools so I'm still learning the basics. Can someone please tell me how to get the echo effect like in the video below? I'm not talking reverb... but I guess delay is what you might call it?

Default Re: Stupid question, I know.

Put a delay plugin on the vocal track (e.g. AIR Dynamic Delay), set the delay time to a 1/4 note (provided your session is to a grid, and play with the feedback for the number of delays. The "Mix" knob adjusts the balance between the delay and the dry signal.

Alternatively, use an FX send - create a stereo aux track, set the input to a stereo bus (e.g. Bus 1-2). Put the delay plugin on this track. Then create a send from the vocal track to Bus 1-2 and adjust the send level for the amount of delay you want. This method is better if you want the effect on multiple tracks - just create sends to Bus 1-2 on all the tracks you want delay on.

Hope this helps.
