You have to go into the Bios and disable the sound that way, then Download the Wave driver here
http://www.digidesign.com/download/wave/ make sure the AISO driver isnt intstalled on your computer or the WAVE driver wont work. At least thats what I was told. If you did a recommended install of PTLE instead of a custom install that ASIO driver is probably installed already and you have to remove it. Im not sure how to remove it though, you might have to do some searching. Gene |

The best way to disable an on board soundcard (in my opinion) is in the BIOS of the motherboard. That way Windows XP doesn't even know it's there. Check your motherboard manual BIOS section to find where to do this. Good Luck,

How do Idisable soundcard on motherboard and enable Mbox as sound device on PC running XP?
