Default Norton Utilities

Another question for the more experienced. I have Norton Utilities installed on my G4 and I'm wondering whether or not File Saver and all the other updating jazz can create problems for Pro Tools or CD Burning for that matter. Has anyone encounterd performance problems specific to using Norton in any situation? If so, how can I go about quickly disengaging the offending Norton features so as not to interfere with CD burning or Pro Tools? Thanks again for taking the time to respond.
