I downgraded to PT 12.5 again running on Sierra.
The graphical lag is more less compared to 12.6 or 12.7 in my opinion.

I'm experiencing the same graphic issues on my new Mac Pro (late 2013).

Running PT 12.7 on Sierra 10.12.2

Experiencing major fader, playback, and clip trim glitches. I've put PT 12 in Low Resolution and it still has issues.

Going to try the new 10.12.3 and see if maybe Apple fixed it.

Yeah, Pro Tools Low resolution isn't working that well for me either.

Just a thought but is everyone here running Sierra on a version not certified by Avid? You should only be running 10.12.1, nothing beyond that. I'm running an iMac 27-inch, late 2012 3.4 GHz Core i7 w 32 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeFore GTX 680 MX w 2MB VRAM , PT HD 12.7 and El Cap 10.11.6 and no issues...

Thanks for putting this out there Chad. Sometimes I'm guilty of not researching Avid's system requirements, but not this time. My specs are all good but for some reason, I'm still experiencing this issue with my Late 2015 iMac. I sure could have some of your luck right about now.

If you Get Info on Pro stools in finder, select "Open in Low Resolution mode"

The lag and sluggishness disappears, at the cost of some pixelation around text and the interface in general. Video playback seems unaffected thankfully.

Not a true solution, but works for now. Definitely leads me to believe there is an issue with these 2015 Retina Macs, or the AMD GPUs inside them. The other question is why would Sierra make it worse than El Capitan?
I've used this option for 1 month, no luck. Low Res does nothing on this end. Still the same issue.

I haven't experienced this sluggishness and I run PT12.7 in high-resolution mode. Using late 2013 MBP

I have to get a MPB. Seems to run better than those Retinas
