Default Waves on S6

Hi guys,

Can we use our Waves Plugins (AAX) on S6, like before on S3 or Profile? Or does the S6 have to have a SoundGrid card? Can we use it without this card?

thnx

Ozgur

Waves plug-ins can be run natively or on soundgrid and hosted inside of Pro Tools. Either way, the pagetables are very good and several of their plug-ins even support EQ curves.

best,

Jeff

Hmmmm…

Having cutoff and resonance for Metafilter on separate pages of 8 encoders isn’t exactly what I’d call ‘very good’.

I know that’s just one plugin, but I scratch my head at that every time. It’s the equivalent of putting the gain and reduction controls for an LA2A on seperate pages.

Indeed, that's a somewhat complex plug-in. I've used the 4x8 (expand) controls defaulted and they seemed reasonable.

When it comes to the 8x1 - this is where it's almost impossible to provide an order that works for everyone. Enter Custom Mapping. Tweak a bit and get what you want.

Unfortunately it wasn’t made available to Artist Mix users even though the units are supposed to be supported until 2024.

Bit of a shame as it was the one update I’d been REALLY waiting for. It finally arrived after years of waiting, but was only made available for the S series of controllers.

EUCON changed a lot of things. If I wasn't so broke I would buy someone's dirt cheap ICON and be happy using it as long as it works.
