Pro Tools dropping tracks at 96 khz
I searched and searched and couldn't find an answer.
I normally work in 48 khz, but I just got a session that was recorded in 96 khz, 24 bit. There are not many tracks, and the session only uses up 20 voices. When I play back the system using 6 processors for 96 voices, only half of the files will play, and I will get pops and clicks from some of the tracks. I starting reducing the amount of processors and the tracks will randomly change which tracks will play, and which ones will not. I finally lowered the playback engine to 1 processor for 24 voices, and all of the tracks played. There are no plugins at all and it is a stereo session. My system is Pro Tools 9.1, TDM HD2 accel, Mac Pro 2.8 quad core, OSX 10.6.6, Digi 96 i/o. |

Re: Pro Tools dropping tracks at 96 khz
I tried the critically low on memory adjustment trick, and it seemed to fix my problem.
