Manipulating Midi Notes
I just upgraded to Pro Tools 9. All my previous tracking was done in audio files. Now I have Strike for Drums and of course, this is a midi file. On audio files I am use to punching in to clean up my mistakes. With midi notations, it seems I cannot delete or cut them in half, if I want to punch in and repair a mistake. If I do punch in, it seems to keep the original midi notes and add new notes as I play to repair. Can anyone shed some light on how one manipulates a midi file like an audio file?
Thanks. |

Re: Manipulating Midi Notes
You probably have Midi Merge selected. Open the transport window and look for the symbol/button with two arrows merging into one. If that button is blue, click on it to unselect it.

Re: Manipulating Midi Notes
Yea. I thought of this. The button is not blue. I'm sure this is all due toy lack of Midi knowledge. Does anyone know a video on simple midi stuff?
