003,PT8, and new Macbook Pro

I've been running PT 8 for years on windows xp successfully for years. I'm getting a macbook pro, and I'm wondering what the best bet will be to get protools running on it:

XP on Bootcamp
Windows 7 on Bootcamp
OSX
Buy a newer version of Protools (but not sure if my older plugins will work or not)


Do 003,PT8, and modern macbook pros play nice together? Anyone have any experience? I'd preferably like to not lose a week to troubleshooting.

Well, I can tell you that 9 and 10 are miles better than LE8(especially if you can find a bargain for 10HD). Delay Compensation is a huge deal, and you might find it handy to be able to open/run PT on the MBP without the 003
