Recalling layouts with track colour keys

So I am testing an S1 and I read that shift+color key recalls the layouts in slot 1-8. For some reason I can not get this to work. When I do this nothing gets recalled. Yes, I have 5 layouts stored in the Eucon app and they work when I recall them from there.

Is there an option that needs to be on for this to work? I read the 21.6 manual and can not find what I might be doing wrong. I do have some hotkeys assigned to the non-shift layer of the colour keys but no hotkeys on the shift layer so it should work right?

Also I assigned custom colours to the user hotkeys on the S1 but for some reason they keep showing the track colour and not the assigned hotkey colour.

Are these bugs or am I missing something?

My S1's track color keys did not come pre programmed for layouts. However, I have assigned theses keys to my layouts. Pretty easy to do via Eucon.

OK, interesting. The S1 manual clearly states that shift-colorkeys recall the first 8 layouts by default. It's also shown in this video:

I was assuming this works even when nothing is assigned to the buttons under Eucon.

Ive had mine since a few months after they came out. There have been several software and firmware updates. Maybe make sure your on the latest. Which is 2021.6. Firmware should be included.

Yeah, this one is brand new. 2 days old and 21.6 on everything and firmware updated. But I have now assigned the recall layout surface command manually to the shift-colourkey layer. It works now.

They are in the PT Appset...are you using a different DAW or an older version of PT...that would explain it. Just add them in the softkey editor.

Thanks Eddie, this was with a brand new S1. PT, Eucon, S1 firmware updated to most current.

Can I ask: should the colours assigned to the S1 hotkeys override the channel colours or is the color assignment in the EC app just something that's not (yet) working?

I love the hardware hotkeys but my brain isn't able to remember the functions of all key for the ones I don't use that often. I was hoping assigning them fixed colours would assist my memory a bit more ;-)

This is not dependent on the version of EUCON but the DAW you are using. Each has its own Softkey Appset.

The Track colors are fixed for the Track on S1 at the moment.
