Default UNINSTALL to upate?

I did not think we had to do this. My question is do i have to install all my plugins ? Is there a way to do this with out the hassle of that. Lot of time to do that.

Seeing as how you're on Windows the usual thing has been to uninstall the old PT and install the new one. As for third party plugins - you don't have to do anything.

Ehm, my recommendation would be to check all 3rd party plugins for new version every time you update PT, but you are right in that the PT uninstaller does not touch them and will still be available after a new PT install.

I've uninstalled dozens of times and its never had any affect on any plugins. I do agree that its good to check for plugin updates, but problems are quite rare

I found it strange as well, can't see why the installer doesn't do it automatically.
When I did uninstall, I got the option to retain settings etc.

2021 then installed fine.
Plugins are all still there.
