Countoff not working / recording defaults to start of track

You can get the click track to produce a click at some time?

I don't see preroll highlighted. So it would start at the point your cursor is.

He's complaining about countoff not working, not pre-roll. (BTW I first made the same mental transposition mistake). I expect countoff is just not enabled in settings (or disabled in MIDI transport) or click is not working at all.

Yes I just tried it and with it set to 2 bars in in the Click/Countoff window and "Count Off" highlighted in the transport window it works fine. Hit play with record enabled ,the click counts off 2 bars and then it starts recording

Got it! For some reason my default settings are hiding the MIDI transport window, so Count Off hadn't been highlighted. I'd assumed the Settings / Click/Count off options would activate it. It's now working perfectly. I knew it would be something simple! Many thanks for your collective help
