M Audio ProjectMix I/O
Good morning everyone:
Is anyone out here using the M-Audio ProjectMix I/O with Pro Tools, and if so, how does that work out for you? http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/ProjectMixIO.html I am on a limited budget and am looking for a relatively inexpensive mixing panel with motorized faders that is compatible with Pro Tools (as well as other programs). I already have a decent M Audio soundcard (profire 2626) which works fine for me, so the audio preamps aren't important to me. I am notably interested in mixing / putting in automation in stereo and surround, and putting in automation for midi with another program, etc. When it comes to mixing, I don't like fiddling around with a mouse. It doesn't have a joystick it seems, but I can do the surround panning one step at a time. Also, this may be a tough question, but does anyone what the futures beholds in terms of whether this interface is likely to be compatible with Pro Tools 11? M Audio was recently sold by Avid. I am not looking for lifetime guarantees but it would be nice to know that it won't be immediately obsolete. Many thanks! |

Re: M Audio ProjectMix I/O
The PMIO works extremely well with Pro tools as a controller. I will suggest you get better preamps though.
I'm not doing a lot of post production, but that doesn't change the fact that it works extremely well with the software.
