Default Missing Protools Authorization on ilok

Hi,

I had a crazy thing happen just now.

Everything was working fine and I suddenly got a "missing license" message and had to quit protools. I restarted the computer thinking it was just an ilok glitch but now protools can't find the authorisation on my ilok.

I double checked the ilok manager was up to date, resynchronised and I can't see the protools authorisation on the ilok.

I own a perpetual Ultimate license and my support/subscription plan is up to date until next year.

Any ideas?

When I booted up this morning, I got a notice that the iLok auth for Video Slave was missing. I ran the iLok Manager, and it was fine after that.

Yeah, I have these kind of things before and usually re-syncing the ilok fixes it.

This seems to be different this time...the license is completely gone from the ilok and my ilok account. Looks like I have to cancel my session...very infuriating!

In case avid support doesn’t sort this until after the weekend. Does anyone know what my options are to get up and running today?

I’ve got a critical deadline and I’m already behind with this delay...if much more time passes it will be a really big problem.

You can use a free Ultimate Trial license, until your case is sorted:

I have made a case here’s the number...

Someone did respond and say they’d look into it. But this was quite a while ago so it’s looking like it’s going to take a while. No idea why this wouldn’t be a 5 minute fix on avid’s part.

Thanks...all good now.

I fired up the system today and there was a new license that I had to install on the ilok and authorise.

No message from support about it...I just tried it hoping they'd done something while I slept. I'd still like to know what happened...it's very uncool to have this happen right before a deadline.
