Eleven Rack Firmware/Software Question

I purchased the Eleven Rack when it first came out. I now have Pro Tools 11, running on Mac OS 10.8.4
The Eleven Rack says it has Firmware: 1.00.2 and Software 1.1.1

I want to make sure I am up to date with the hardware/software. Looks like now if you buy the Eleven Rack you get the Expansion Pack - do I not get that because I bought it too long ago?
Anyway, i am just trying to make sure I am getting the most out of the Eleven Rack.

Nope you get to spend ~$100 to purchae the expansion pack upgrade like everybody else with earlier Eleven Racks had to, and if you do that you get all the new amp sims etc. Usually money very well spent, and if you don't want those new features then there is no reason to purchase the upgrade and no problem running without it.

But you can upgrade to 1.0.3 Firmware for free. http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/e...nload/en371135

But with all upgrades I just never have an approach that I "want to be on the latest". There may be benefits to doing that but I want to understand exactly what they are and if it is worth taking the risk to upgrade, and if I'm n being affected by something specifically fixed, or the upgrade is not needed for some other compatibility reason, I'll often hold off just changing stuff.

You re missing the expansion pack cause your device is pre exp pack,you can purchase it separately and install on the 11r,definately youre missing a lot of goodies if not the best 11r can offer without exp pack,get it its worth! :)

You will want the ERXP (aka Firmware 2.0.x) if you are planning on using the up coming Standalone Eleven Rack Editor. Avid has said it will be required.
