Default No 3rd party app audio after upgrade to 5.1.3

Hello,

We recently upgraded one of our mix systems from PT 5.1.1 to PT 5.1.3 (OS 9.2.1) while doing a DigiTranslator install. Since then, 3rd party applications such as Jam and RealPlayer will no longer play audio out the Digi hardware when PT is open. However they do play out the 888 if PT is closed.
I am using the basic Sound Control panel (as opposed to Monitors & Sound) and I've tried tossing the sound prefs. and the digi setup pref. But no luck.

Installed extensions & CPs:

Digi Direct I/O 5.1.1
Digi DSP Manager 5.1.1
Digi Stream Manager 5.1.1
Digi OMM.dll 5.1.3
Digi System init 5.1.1

Digidesign Control Panel 5.1.1 (Which I'm assuming from the Support page takes the place of the older Digi Sound Driver extension - when I reinstalled that, I got 2 "Digidesign" options in the Sound Control Panel so I removed it).

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Noel

Noel,

Try disabling "Active in Background" from the Operations Menu.

Mike,

Yes, of course, that worked. What was I thinking? I never change that parameter, but I'm sure it was restored to a default when we updated.

Thanks so much for your help.
