It is way better than DVS.

In terms of latency… this is at 48kHz with 32 sample buffer.

That is fantastic. That's exactly the information I was looking for.

Thank You!

It would be interesting to see the different in latency between a digital loop through the DADman routing matrix, and a physical patch between DA output and AD input. I don't think the reported latency in Logic is really able to tell what routing you are using within the AX64.
Edit:

Done it.

Quite a few of the low buffer settings report 'Suspect Result'.
Not sure why- there doesn't seem to be anything about it in the manual.

"the "suspect" flag gets raised if: test signal not detected, measured <99% of reported latency, measured >125% reported, or other technical anomaly with the return signal like the effect of too much noise."

For the smaller buffers, the reported vs measured difference (in percentage) grows massively.
Which is partially normal in statistics.

Thanks James. Not too shabby at all!

Are those measurements just digital loops using the DADman matrix? Or are they using DA & AD cards?

That is using ADA.

I did the test again at 44.1kHz and 96 using digital loopback by passing the ADA stages.

It seems that you have made a patch in the AX64 routing matrix and not done an external digital loop-back via e.g. MADI or ADAT. That explains why the measured RTL is faster than the reported RTL.

Hi Jan, yes, this is true.

I did a previous test using the ADA. I wanted to compare the latency between using ADA vs not. I will do one using AES/MADI loop back later today.

Here is reading using Digital Loopback via AES, rather than just the TB to TB patch in DADMAN.

Sorry if it was confusing for people.
