Re: ReVibe 1.1cs1 Update
Working here, just ran it again to be sure.
Make sure you are logged in as an administrator. In System Preferences, choose Accounts, then click on your Admin account then click on Login Options and if you are only one on that machine, check the box next to Automatically login...as your account name. Reboot. Another thing to check is that the installer is on your hard drive or desktop, and that you are trying to install it to your startup drive.

Re: ReVibe 1.1cs1 Update
Everything is as you said it should be:
I am logged in as Admin. I am automatically set up to Log In. I am still receiving the same error. Where is the Installer trying to write it's files? I'll have my IT engineer check my system permissions for for those areas. Thanks again.

Re: ReVibe 1.1cs1 Update
Hi Phil,
Check the permissions on each folder in this path Mac HD>Library>Application Support>Digidesign>Plug-ins. The Library and Application support permissions should read: Owner: System Access: Read & Write Group: Admin Access: Read & Write Others Read only The Digidesign and Plug-ins folders should read: Owner: (your user login name) Access: Read & Write Group: Admin Access: Read & Write Others Read & Write You may also want to check the permissions of all non-boot drives in the system. Their permissions should be set like the Digidesign and Plug-in folders, and be sure "Ignore Ownership and Permissions" is deselected for all drives. You could also try running the Repair Disk Permissions routine on the boot drive. This can be found in the OS X Disk Utility under the First Aid tab. Regards, Digidesign Technical Support |

Quote:
I went over this with my IT Engineer. We Repaired Permissions, followed these permissions structures ... Restarted the machine ... Verified that the Permissions stuck ... We still have the same Error Code. And this update is going to be important to me as I will be using Revibe heavily my next project that will then be PL2 encoded ... So any issues can cause rather unwanted results. Anything else? What does that error code mean?

Re: ReVibe 1.1cs1 Update
Hi Guys,
I just downloaded and Installed the new EQIII Plug-in. The main difference in the two is that the EQIII Installer came up with an Authenticator screen for my Admin password ... The Revibe Update does not. Is there any way to update the Revibe Installer so it performs the same type of installation as the EQIII Installer? That would solve the problem, I believe ... Thanks for you help!

Re: ReVibe 1.1cs1 Update
This is a permissions error, here are some more things to try:
1. Download and install the latest interlock drivers from here, then unmount all drives except the boot drive and try installing again. 2. Download the update from our website again to rule out corruption in the installer. 3. Create a new Admin user account and try installing from that login. 4. If you've copied the updater to CD, try copying it to your desktop. This error could also be due to the location of the updater on your system. Regards, Digidesign Technical Support |

Re: ReVibe 1.1cs1 Update
I figured out the issue. For some reason, the Revibe Installer wants to be on the Desktop. To limit exposure to instability, our IT Dept. set our Desktops to "No Access". Once I changed this permission and ran the Installer from the Desktop, it installed just fine.
Thank you again for helping me work through this. I do appreciate it.
