Default Frustrating geforce4 mx problem!!

Greetings to all,
Here is the deal:
I purchased a Geforce4 MX (on ebay) that had been yanked from a dual 867. I want to be able to run dual independent displays. I installed the card in my quicksilver 733, and all is well as long as I'm running 10.2.3, or 9.2.1. But if I run 9.2.2, the stupid thing doesn't work. The screen goes blank on startup. Now, the reason that I am posting this problem here, is that I can't see any way that a card pulled from a machine that had to be running 9.2.2 wouldn't work on my machine running 9.2.2 - so I thought that maybe the problem is a compatibility issue w/ the pro toos pci card? And yes - I have the newest Nvidia drivers for the mac, and it doesn't help. Has anyone experienced anything remotely like this?

Help a brother out...
-Cheers crack smokin hooker

man, that sucks. I have a dual 867 w/ presumably the same video card & I boot into 9.2.2 all the time to run PT w/ the 001, so I don't think it's that. Cool website though, btw.
