MC Control and Mix with PT HD 10.3.10 and PT12.2

Hi guys,

I have three MC Artist units, a Control and two Mix units, and have two different Pro Tools systems.

My studio is running Pro Tools HD 10.3.10 under Mac OS 10.6.8.

My laptop is running Pro Tools 12.2 under Mac OS 10.10.5.

So, in order for me to use any of the MAC artist series on the newer Pro Tools, it is asking for a firmware update.

If I do this, will the controllers no longer work under the studio computer?
That is my main system, so if the answer is not, then my units will not get the firmware update, and I'll just not be able to use them with the laptop. No biggie, but I want to know before I do something incredibly stupid.

We have the same problems, one of the on the road MBP's we use in one of the midi rooms have 10.8.5 Eucon 3.1.3 with no FW update.

We also sometimes use these 4 Artist series connected from the room into,the larger Studio via longer ethernet cable to the hub where those 4 units are connected and in the studio room we have Mac Pro Trash Can with 10.10.4 and Eucon 3.3 so we have not updated the Firmware and the units still works.

Try to press "No" to Firmware update and see if they work anyway as ours do work as expected with the last Firmware update when we got Eucon 3.0

Using Artist Mix w/ 10.3.10 and 12.2 w/ EUCON 3.3 w/ Mountain Lion.

No issues, no request for firmware update.
