Next PT comes with AudioSuite handles!!!

Hey my friends, just got back from IBC here in Amsterdam and next to watching my favorite fellow Djokovic having a "intercorse" with his fellow Federer, I couldn't resist to grab my laptop and share this "news" with you:

Avid has been demonstrating new beta Pro Tools software that has some very juicy long time awaited features:
1. Audio Suite processing has finally received handles. It is 2ms by default, in the prefs one can adjust it. Also there is a option called "whole file" (if I can remember it right) which will do as "advertised"
2. Clip gain volume (again if I remember correctly). Every region has in it's down left corner small icon that can be click and hold and suddenly waveform, as well as gain will rise or go down, depending on the mouse move (also will be implemented in keyboard shortcuts).
3. Clip group (again if I am not wrong) is a sort of group file with a extension .clpgr and it can be imported/exported (from Media composer) directly as a multi file group that has also gain information with it. Example was gun shot that has been compiled and exported by sound designer as a 3 stereo sfx files in a clip group and then imported into edit window with all the clip gain information along.

There is also some DiskCache feature that needs some major improvements so let's not talk about this now.

IMPORTANT: All this informations are "unofficial" but true (in my own experience).

What hardware were they running at IBC?

It was Native on Mac 12 cores, sync HD and another 1" unit in the rack. Demo session was 192 tracks movie synced to satellite running media composer

...and it's September & my fellow Djokovic won and I believe we all are winning on getting the PT going the way we want?
They are trying to implement 64bit computing, but as I understand from the guys, it is not gonna happen soon, but those few features will make our work more pleasant?
If we just go one by one feature...anyway it is not us who write the codes.

kissing their feet would be very difficult, but giving them more money is just around the corner. Meanwhile just use the tool you have, I guess?
