4am - worried - I just sent the following to [email protected] -

Please return my licenses - ReVibe and Impact.
I paid for both of them.
iLok authorized both transactions.

There's not much point in telling people to contact PayPal for a Refund, as PayPal can only lodge a claim against the Seller up to 45 days after the sale!

After the P.R. debacle (at the introduction of the iLok License Manager), now is not the time for iLok to damage its credibility further, by such an illogical punitive action.

As iLok said it was their mistake in issuing/authorizing licenses to people who re-sold them, then it makes sense for iLok to either foot the bill for their mistake, or pursue the Sellers - not the Buyers! The Buyers are iLok's supporters.

I trusted your authorizations as "Gospel". (How else am I to know?).
Suddenly I don't feel like my plugins/authorizations are safe anymore - which goes totally against why I bought an iLok in the first place!

And why did it take so long after my authorizations to contact me re. their validity? I find this alarming.

Please see Post#36 http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?p...16#post2149616

I believe a prompt public response (to DigiTechSupt Avid) is truly in the interest of iLok's future success.

I genuinely hope iLok not only succeeds - I would love iLok to actually exceed everyone's expectations this time. It's overdue.

Regards from John Eyers

Posting that on a public bulletin board does not strike me as the smartest thing someone could do...

Just rockin'...what more is there?

unkJE, I would edit your post and remove the dates of purchase and your iLok ID if I were you.

Why would you post your new password to the web?

Appreciate all your concern, but please understand that was a fake ID I posted to protect myself. I don't want to sidetrack the 2 real issues:

(1) change your Password
(2) email [email protected] and ask for your authorizations to be returned

5am and I wish you all well...

I have taken crap for quite a long time at my refusal to put my daw online. I always have to hear how safe everything is, especially on a mac. Exactly as I feel, online nothing is EVER safe.

I have gone through my Ilok account. I think everything is ok. Its just kind of hard to tell with so many licenses. I would have really appreciated it if all these expired demo licenses in my account were stolen or removed!!!!!!

This happened to me - got an email re Waves v8 Vocal Rider. Something about incorrectly placed in my account.

I also have v9, so ... but what the hell? I've often wished I could delete demo/trial licenses, but now this?

What are you up to iLok?

Still weird that the only info on this is posted on the DUC. Makes me think the info was somehow only taken from Avid audio users.

It this was widespread panic it would be all over the gearslutz etc. boards.

Just a thought.
