Default PT 6.7, KB Shortcuts, QuicKeys [Heads Up]

After installing PT 6.7, I "lost" the functionality of all my QuicKeys shortcuts. I 'fixed' the issue and posted about it in response to a fellow user on another thread, but I thought I'd share the tip as a 'self-standing' topic to save you some time (and aggravation) if you were to experience similar issue(s).

Good news -- it's not a bug, and the fix is simple!

I remembered that I "limited the scope" of my QK shortcuts to PT, and, upon checking within QK itself, I noticed that the scope is... (wait for it) version-specific! In other words, after the 6.7 installation, the shortcuts were still set to "ProTools 6.4"

The fix:

Open each shortcut, reassign the 'scope' of it to "ProTools 6.7" (via its dedicated pop up menu), save and close. Rinse and repeat for each shortcut. A slightly tedious process (entirely dependent on the number of cuts you created for PT), but as simple as that. All is back to groovy here.

Also...

The issue with QK reminded me of a similar problem encountered by users who set up their own shortcuts using the OSX built-in features. That got me thinking that, perhaps, the issue might be similar to that with QK. Since I'm a QK user, I don't know if this applies to users of native OSX shortcuts... but you may want to check.

I hope this helps.

It's easier! In Q keys X you can select the application in the scope column (eg PT 6.4)and then change the scope under the file menu to the new app (eg PT6.7) No need to do them one at a time.

Good one - thank you, JGuth!
This will save me some time with the next upgrade.
