Increasing the height of Wave form display
Is it possible to adjust the waveform display size of only one track... when we try to do with small button on right hand top of the edit window all the tracks increase or decrease proportion and some tracks become too dense.

Re: Increasing the height of Wave form display
You didn't say what version, but in 7.x (probably the same in 8.x):
1. Select the Zoomer tool (F5) 2. While holding Command+Control, click and drag vertically.

Re: Increasing the height of Wave form display
Or put the cursor at the lower edge of the track so it changes to a different symbol, and drag the lower edge down to whatever size you want.

Re: Increasing the height of Wave form display
...or select the track and hold Control and use the up arrow...or select the track and hit Control+E.

Re: Increasing the height of Wave form display
My instructions are for how to vertically zoom in on the waveform. The others, I think, are for how to increase track size. Hopefully one of those is what you're after.

Re: Increasing the height of Wave form display
Thanks for all your replies. But this was not my question, perhaps I didn't articulate it properly.
Let me try again with an example 1. Track one has vocals which you record first 2. Track has Guitars which record second 3. Track 3 has Bass whihc you record third 4. All the 3 above are wave forms view 5. Now as each of these are recorded the actual wave form inside track is of different size while the track height is same My question if you try to change the height of the wave form or Density of the wave form of one track and all the tracks in edit window change by the same proportion i.e. the vocal becomes really thick dark (onl the wave display nothing hasppens to the actual audio) Now the only way I know is to go to the small button in the right hand top of edit window and click the bottom half until all the tracks/regions become just a single line and then press the top half of the button for the wave forms to become visible size again Hope this clarifies... I am on PT 8.01 cheers |

Re: Increasing the height of Wave form display
That's the scenario I was answering. Does
1. Select the Zoomer tool (F5) 2. While holding Command+Control, click and drag vertically. not work in 8.x? Must be something similar, at least.

Re: Increasing the height of Wave form display
Try putting the cursor in the particular track you wish to change the waveform size in, and click it. Then in the area above the tracks you will see in the upper left middle, a box which has Icon buttons which look something like left arrow then a waveform with an up arrow above and down arrow below it, this will change waveform size for the selected track only . the one in the upper left of this pic
