Default Too close for shift-tab

I don't know if this has been a feature since ProTools v7, but lately if you drop the insertion mark within about 800 samples of a region boundary and you shift-tab to select from your insertion mark to the region boundary, the selection misses the boundary and extends all the way to the next one. This is not good.

Yes, this is a very annoying thing that was only added since 7.2 or so... Wish they would remove this. Or at least make it a preference.

Hmmm - must be the same code as the tab-to-transient bug where you can't be too close to (but still to the left of) the transient or it misses it on tab and jumps to the next one.

I've reported this bug before and Digi Tech Support claimed they could not reproduce. Still happens here all the time with every version of PT 7.x.

I've tried, but cannot reproduce this.

Is anyone willing to send us a session, including audio, that can reliably reproduce the problem?

I was surprised to see this report. I do this kind of editing all of the time with very short regions (below 800 samples), and I have never seen this bug. This would drive me nuts. That's strange that it's showing up on some systems and not on others. I am using a G5 Dual 2.5 GHz machine running HD3 Accel with Pro Tools 7.3.1cs1.

If I make a very simple test session, it doesn't do this. But I'm seeing this all the time. I'm super busy, but I will try and find one of my sessions that does this and figure out what else needs to happen.

I think the basic ingredients to make it happen is: Quicktime movie in the session, tab-to-transient turned off.
