The very same.

Hopefully DigiTechSupt will get back to this thread with some news on this, or at least confirm that it will be fixed in the next update.

Yeahhhh maybe they will. Or maybe their "Reply Delay Compensation" is faulty too?

No, it's working fine, I just have a lot on my plate at the moment.

I tested this and see what you're experiencing. I wanted to try a few things to see if I could determine what, exactly, was going wrong, but nothing I did turned up anything conclusive.

I've obviously got this logged for a fix and will report back if and when I get any significant info.

I've not tested this, but I would imagine from experiencing what I did in the session I was working on when noticing this. If you make a new session with 1 audio track and 2 instrument tracks, with a few delay inducing plugins on the audio track so it has a highly delayed output, an instance of Vacuum on one of the instrument tracks playing a sustained note, and an instance of boom on the second instrument track with a 1/4 beat hi hat or similar programmed on it.
Send boom to a bus, and use that bus to trigger a gate on the vacuum, the resulting sound (the opening and closing of the noisegate) will be out of time with any audio on the audio track, or even a midi click track.

Like I said in the session I was using, I was close to a finished mix so had lots of plugins running, split between TDM and RTAS and this was one of the last things I did. Everything was mixed through the same outputs and nothing delay inducing was on the master output at all. I have done this kind of thing numerous times, and understand how to route it properly so don't THINK I missed anything obvious.

Problem persists in 8.1.

Is there any status on this bug from AVID tech support? I just upgraded from 8.01 to 8.1 (+HEAT) and now my carefully timed side chain tracks sound different!

This is a major bummer, I have been doing the work around where I double the key track and nudge it earlier...if I have to reset this by hand on all my current projects (never mind archives), that will be many days of work. It's a pain to set, I do it by ear.

In general this bug has negative implications for recall in general, when moving a project to a different system. Is the delay consistent?

thanks,
Brian

Ever since I upgraded to 8.0.4 I've been having WEIRD ADC problems...I'd SWEAR that PT is placing overdubbed tracks EARLY. Do y'all leave ADC on ALL THE TIME, or only after you start putting plugs on? Does EVERYONE have to take ADC off and de-activate all their plugs to get ACCURATE placement of recorded audio???

If you use RTAS plugins, yes. If you use TDM instruments and plugs, no, you can keep ADC on. It's been this way for years - maybe from the beginning.

Was this issue ever resolved or does it still persist with HD 10?
