Default Transfuser with Akai MPD32

Do these work flawlessly (including note repeat)?

Do the knobs and sliders work automatically, or do they need to be configured?

I notice the always use the trigger finger in the videos.

Anyone have experience with the Alai MPD32 or MPD24 and Transfuser?

they only use m-audio products in the videos
but it work with any controler* u may have to set something up an there is an easy way just control click on on the knob u want to control witch brings up midi learn then move something on your control an continue doing so until u map all the setting u want on your controler*

I was thinking about buying an MPD32 for use with both Strike and Transfuser. I haven't picked one up yet, I'm pretty confident it will work because these are both learning applications (i.e. move slider or turn a nob while have the learn mode turned on in either app will make that feature permanent on the device until you change it). As far as knowing how to operate out of the box I don't believe it will do that, you will need to teach it.

Been using the MPD32 with Transfuser for quite some time now, its actually really really nice. Easy to setup, and they work perfectly together. A great trick is to use the transport-buttons allso;-) Great to have sliders for all the stuff in Transfuser.

Cheers

<< Easy to setup, and they work perfectly together. >>

So it's very easy to assign all the knobs, sliders and switches? The note repeat and 16 levels works flawlessly?

One specific question: can you do "drum machine" style recording where it loops a 2 bar pattern THEN if you mess up, you simply hold down a button to delete the offending hit. Does that make sense? This would fit my workflow!!

Yes, its easy to assign knobs and sliders, - works the same as other Digi-VI´s, - right-click - select learn - twist knob or slider.

Note repeat works as you would expect (remember to set-up PT to send midi-beat-clock to the MPD).

dont know what you mean by levels??

The stuff with recording in loop is more or less a PT-feature, so see if that would work for you. You can record patterns i Transfuser but I dont think you can do what you want - ie. deleting as you go. Try the loop-recording feature in PT for that.

Cheers

Hi Pam,

To set up the MPD with PT, which port do you use for Midi beat clock : USB or Midi ? Which OS do you run ?
I've been trying to use it as a slave to PT but can't figure how to configure it...
I find disturbing the fact that when you set the MPD to receive MBC, the little led does not blink tempo-wise...
The clock seems very jittery too and note repeat is quite buggy on my system !
It gives me headaches !!!!
Maybe you could help ?

Cheers,

A

Hey guys, I'm just trying to get my MPD 32 to work with Transfuser. Any set up tips would be great.

Did you make a special preset on the MPD or did one work already.

Cheers!
