Describe BTD Alternative Method?

I know a lot of you are not using the BTD for various reasons...well I cant get mine to BTD for more than 3 seconds before it chokes. I set up an Aux input and sent all tracks to it but I am getting some weird feedback stuff...Can anyone describe how to do an internal bounce in PTLE?

Assign all the tracks producing audio to a stereo aux bus.
(make sure you don't have any aux input routing back in on themselves)

Create a new audio track and assign it's input to the bus and it's output to analog 1 and 2. Place the new audio track into rec mode and away you go.

I could have you mixed up with someone else, but if not what happened?
You may need to report your BTD to Digi also.

It isn't better per say, it eats up a couple of audio tracks. There is an existing bounce to disk error that digi is aware of and trying to fix that doesn't present itself on all systems. This is just a workaround.

alternatively (and i think its simpler), enable spdif mirroring then connect a spdif cable from the digi spdif out to spdif in. then create a stereo audio track with input set to spdif in. you have to be careful and watch out for feedback, though. be sure to mute the track before recording.

i think this is a better way because you don't have to mess around with changing all your track outputs.

Yes I did just build a killer machine (AMD64 3400+).....I am not worried about the error right now because it is a reported bug. Inconvenient as it is......Im still more comfortable with it that BTD...YMMV

are you guys for real? after a year and the btd issue still isnt fixed???
I am planning to buy a 002r, but I am not going to do it until digi fixes this bug. I just dont want to fool with it.
