Lost files after major filesharing crash

We have had an recent crash after two PT 24 stations where logged out from the Mac file sharing.
The station in question where in the middle of a session when a normal Appletalk OS message occurred: "user xxx loged off"
But then when trying to save the session following error message occured:
("Could not save as 'file name' because: an assertion occurred in "Sys_FileLoc.cpp:, line 57" )
It wasn't possible to save the session in any way. But the scary thing was that after closing down PT all the seesions including all audiofiles were gone!
We searched with differeent system programs for the files (Norton, Apple) but they where no were to be found.
Is this something someone else has encountered and in that case do you know what the problem is?
