Default How do I get the best sound when effecting my tracks?

In order to save on the use of RTAS plug ins, I can effect the track using AS plug ins. However, I find that sometimes the after effect of the AS plug in sounds different than when I preview the AS plug in. Now, if I use the RTAS plug ins on a track and send that tracks output to another record enabled track, I can record a new track with the effect that I want. My question is, do I lose any sound quality when doing so or is the quality better when using the AS plug in?

You won't degrade the quality of your audio signal doing it the way you said ("printing the effect"). You can also just dial-in the settings you like with the RTAS plug-in then copy those settings to the Audio Suite version of the same plug-in.
