Aligning click tracks after ADAT transfer?
I am new to the board, and haven't had much time with Pro Tools LE 7.3, but my online searches did successfully lead me to transferring two groups of 8 tracks via the ADAT optical interface from my trusty old Fostex VF160 to PT. With everything in PT now, the second group of 8 starts slightly before the first group.
Now I need to line up the tracks and here's where my inexperience shows. I have two click tracks (one from each group of 8). I would like to manually line up the second group using the click track to the click of the first group. How do I go about doing this? If there are any helpful links, please post them. Thanks! |

Re: Aligning click tracks after ADAT transfer?
The Pro Tools manual is your friend, but to get you started, first make sure you create a group in PT with your tracks by creating group 1 with the first 8 tracks and group 2 with the second 8 tracks so when you manually move, you will move all 8 tracks as a group. The keyboard shortcut for creating groups is "control g" . First select the first 8 tracks with the click by highlighting the track then hold the "shift" key to select the rest of the 8 tracks, then "control g" to create that as a group. Again the manual is your friend but this will help you get started.

Bawls, I didn't notice that this is a Windows forum. Ctrl on a Mac means Start on PC?
