Default Waves Diamond opinions?

I know its long in the tooth but I was considering upgrading my Waves Gold to Diamond. Anyone have any opinions ?

Seems that Massive Pack 7 kind of overlaps some of the plugins and that's something I'm considering also. Any info greatly appreciated.

Without a moment of hesitation, I recommend a move to Diamond. I just took a look at the contents of Gold (to see what I’d be missing), and I can scarcely imagine operating without L2, L3 (in all its incarnations except for the L3-16, found in Mercury-only), the Linear Phase bundle, the Renaissance Channel, the Restoration bundle plus Z-Noise, and SoundShifter.

None of the items I listed are anywhere near being “long-in-the-tooth,” but rather “go-to” choices in a vast majority of instances.

IHTH.

I have the Platinum and the L3 Multimax... it gets the job done. For me a perfect solution.

The other option is Mercury plus studio classics

I don't care what anyone says! Waves are the best all round plugs for sound/cost/dsp/longevity and GUI.

Mercury TDM has API and V-Series included, you only need to buy the SSL TDM Bundle to be complete.

I own them all (TDM Bundles) + a lot of them twice as Native Bundle for my second native PT Rig, and I know why, so +1!

I totally agree with Andre... perhaps he would make available all of those ubercool R-channel presets he has concocted, among others.??
