Celemony Melodyne ARA vs. Synchro Arts RePitch ARA for Vocal Tuning
I haven't dived into RePitch yet really, while I have the Elements version from the account offer, so I was curious how everyone feels about it in comparison to Melodyne for vocal tuning. $37.25 to upgrade to the full version of RePitch seems fairly reasonable.
Obviously Melodyne Studio can do a lot more, which is why I'm really just asking about vocal tuning. The GUI looks refreshingly simpler, as it does contain less features. It seems most practical to just use whatever is easiest and most consistent rather than feel the need to jump back and forth for tuning vocals. How would those who have used Repitch as well as Melodyne for vocal tuning compare the main components that effect your workflow and results? 1. Sound of algorithms 2. Ease of use 3. Shortcuts 4. Buginess Thanks!

Re: Celemony Melodyne ARA vs. Synchro Arts RePitch ARA for Vocal Tuning
Based solely on my own experience:
Melodyne Studio rules if you want multiple tracks showing in the same plugin window, BUT, ARA sort of negates this. Sometimes I prefer to work with Melodyne in its plugin version over ARA. As for sound, I think both are dandy. My leaning towards Melodyne is purely based on my heavy experience with the shortcuts. but both are solid tools for tuning(and the best of all IMHO over any other option). If ARA is your preferred method of work, then Melodyne Studio might not be worth the extra money. The only serious advantage with SynchroArts is if you go the full ReVoice Pro route because it is supposed to be able to time stretch while keeping vibrato speed untouched(something I have not seen any other way to do in any other tuning program).

I'm comfortable with the performance of both though I prefer RePitch's interface so that's what I use.

Repitch is very annoying in terms of auto scroll if you have a vocal with ambient noise . It will scroll vertically every time there is a detection ( not a note ) which makes impossible to see anything , the window dancing up and down . there should also be a way to not move the timing when you're just trying to edit pitch but the cursor is always in "smart mode" and I personally don't like automatic "smart" mode . I end up not using it although the sound is transparent

Re: Celemony Melodyne ARA vs. Synchro Arts RePitch ARA for Vocal Tuning
There are things you can do in Repitch that are simply not possible in Melodyne, specifically drawing in pitch curves like you used to be able to do in Waves Tune. While I haven’t compared them side by side I find both give me good enough sound quality. I prefer the gui of Melodyne but often go back and forth between the two…

I also hope that RePitch will soon allow for formant adjustment of individual notes.

Melodyne has been a long time favorite here, but lately I've found myself moving more and more toward RePitch when possible.

Re: Celemony Melodyne ARA vs. Synchro Arts RePitch ARA for Vocal Tuning
Good day...
Currently a Melodyne Studio user - but hearing more about Repitch/Revoice Is there an advantage between Revoice and Repitch - I already own and like Vocalign 6. Thanks, Sparky
