Default New Waves plugs HLS Channel & PIE Compressor

HLS Channel & PIE Compressor

http://www.waves.com/Content.aspx?id=10420

free for mercury owners with WUP

The HLS Channel recereates of the original Helios EQs with their sweet saturation, high-end presence, and fat low-frequency boost, as well modeled the unique behavior, coloration, and drive of the console’s preamps.

The PIE Compressor was modeled on the Pye, which was a mainstay in esteemed British studios throughout the classic rock era, and is considered by many to be one of the best buss compressors of all time.

Man! Waves just doesn't stop releasing stuff. I swear it is a new plug-in every two weeks. Crazy!

Maybe they will start moving their old plug-ins such as the SSL bundle to the Platinum Bundle .

Seriously though.

Hi,

Been having a play, thought i would upload a few vids of them...

A piece of PIE.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CcElcnGv330

Go to HELIOS... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhaF0Dvo3oM

With the Helios you have to keep the input high and the output low if you want to use the pre-amp modeling! gain structure and noise etc. The hi-end is sweet!!

Yes, your TLC will be history. If you want TLC, you need to WUP every six months (or whenever you want to / need to run ANY Waves updater IF you have less than six months of WUP left).
