Default mpowered vs le

i just bought pro tools le with the minibox and thanks too the peopke here found out it basically wont work with anything i own. i dont have the money to get what i need so i was wondering if m powered would work. i have an m-audio mobile pre usb interface. does m powered have most of the capabilitys as le. and do i need an external hard drive for this also. if i do does a usb external drive work. i have windows vista 64 bit. is there anything else i might need to know before i switch. i have been using cakewalk homestudio 2004 for years but it doesnt do all i need. any advice. i also have a midi keyboard usb that i wou;d like to use

Don't use USB. Use a firewire or eSata drive.
