Mbox 2 Pro tools 11 issue

I really need some help here. I have a windows 7 64 bit computer running Pro Tools 11. I recently sent my new Scarlett 18i 20 off for repairs. I have been trying to use my old Mbox 2 3rd generation interface so i can keep recording drums. I have used my Mbox 2 in the past with no problems at all. However, when i plug in any mic into a pre-amp, i am getting no audio signal in Pro Tools 11.

I have tried everything from updating my drivers, deleting DAE Prefs, to reinstalling Pro Tools. Nothing has worked. I have talked to several audio techs at sweetwater and even they could not figure out why i am not getting an audio signal. Only thing i know is that if my Mbox 2 was not compatible, i would not be able to run Pro tools. If anyone on here can help me, I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thank you

....then, " old Mbox 2 3rd generation interface" makes no sense. Is it the blue Mbox 2(which is 2nd generation) or dark grey Mbox(3rd generation)? Have you installed the proper driver for the correct Mbox and your OS? Is the Mbox selected as the Audio Engine in Pro Tools>Setup>Hardware(verify, don't assume)? If you have ASIO4ALL installed, I would try removing it(it has a habit of stepping all over other drivers)

I have tried everyone of my mics with different cables and nothing has worked. I reinstalled the mbox 2 driver and so far nothing. My mbox 2 is selected as audio playback engine. When i tap on my sure sm57 mic, i can hear it through my monitors. It is not registering when i enable record on the channel. Maybe my Mbox 2 is not compatible.

I think as Albee mentioned we need to determin which device you have, to make sure you have the correct drivers installed.

When you start Pro Tools, press and hold the "n" key. That should bring up the Playback Engine dialogue box, be sure to select the correct Mbox there.

I have an Mbox 2. The Mbox was enabled in the audio engine box. I have the correct drivers installed and so far nothing. I never had a problem with my new Scarlett 18i20 interface. I am forced to use my Mbox 2 until i get my Scarlett back. Can't figure out why i don't have an audio signal.
