Video Files wont open, hangs at the end of progress bar "Waiting for the video engine to launch" If I hit cancel I can import audio, I have tried Importing with out audio as well
I have tried turning GPU off, as well as other Video Prefs
I did a clean install of PT, no change
Pt 10.3.9 All works great

I would have tried:
Reboot.
Re-install PT 11.3.
Reboot.
Before launching PT, shut down any other applications running in the background.
Disable any external video peripherals in Pro Tools - only to use desktop video. Any changes?

For me 11.3 runs better than 11.2.2. But I had to change the driver for my video peripheral, Blackmagic Intensity Pro. Do you use any video cards for your picture?

I just had the same issue and followed a Moderators advice on a similar thread and had success:

Manually delete all of PT11.3 and it's components, then reinstall 11.3.

I am now up and running

I'm a A Quad Core MAC Pro
I did re-boot, and re-installed OS. I don't have an external Video card, just internal MAC Video card
I will try to manually remove 11.3 and re-install.
Do you have a link to the thread of which files to remove, Cant seem to locate it

I appreciate your help

Thanks

How to manually uninstall Pro Tools 11

Last Updated : June 24, 2013
Products Affected : Pro_Tools_1_6

Pro Tools 11 on Mac does not include an uninstaller. Below documents how to manually trash items installed by Pro Tools 11. This should not need to be performed as there are no known problems with having these files on a system (with or without Pro Tools installed).
Move the following files to the trash to manually remove Pro Tools 11 completely from a Macintosh systems:
Mac HD/Applications/"Pro Tools"
Mac HD/Library/Audio/"MIDI Patch Names"
Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Propellerhead Software/"Rex"
Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Avid/"Audio"
The Audio folder contains: "Plug-In Settings", "Plug-Ins" and "Plug-Ins (Unused)

Deleting manually and reinstalling did NOT fix the Video problem, I went back to 11.2.1 and its now working, 11.3 dosen't work for me.
I don't use an external video card. Ill try 11.3 again to see if I can figure out whats going on. I might create a separate new boot drive and only install PT 11.3 (no 3rd plugs) or Pt10 and test

Thanks :)
