DI for re-amping?
Hey guys do you know of a good DI that can be used backwards? I think only passive DI's work like that. I mean take a low Z input and output a Hi Z. Its useful for running DI'ed signals from your board or recorder to an amp.
Thanks, syra |

Re: DI for re-amping?
Try the Radial JDI mk3. A great sounding DI that also works for re-amping.

Re: DI for re-amping?
In my experience, the Reamp does a superior job of this. You can use a passive DI "backwards", and for some budget conscious folks this is a fine solution. But if you're looking to squeeze out every drop of tone, buying the Reamp is $240 well spent.
BTW, I have no relationship with them, other than that I bought two of these, and love them. www.reamp.com |

also check out the little labs red eye, designed to work as both reamp and DI (not at the same time though).

Re: DI for re-amping?
I can attest to the Reamp's quality, durability, and ease of use. Its passive, the same size and construction as the Countryman DI's, and not too expensive. The guy who came up with these is John Cuniberti, and he is based in San Francisco. He is an excellent engineer and producer as well. He engineered most of the Jo Satriani records. Very nice guy too. If you want something that sounds good, is affordable, and supports a great guy, check out the Reamp. Dan
