Group compression
Hello,
Im from the Cubase SX forum, just thought I'd have a snoop at what PT6 is offering. I've had a look at ProTools, but Im wondering if its like Cubase in that you can view all teh groups as faders and then apply FX to groups, like you can in cubase. So far all Ive seen in PT is you can group faders together and they move together. Also when will PT6 LE for XP be available? Stoo |

Re: Group compression
Yes, you can apply plug-in effects to a 'sub-mix' of several tracks by routing their outputs into the input of an Aux Track where the plug-in is placed (and then route the output of the Aux Track back into the main mix).
I assume that's what you wanted to know. Phil

Re: Group compression
does this then limit your tracks? and if its stereo would it take 2 of the 32 tracks?

Re: Group compression
No, an aux track does not count as an audio track. Only tracks with actual audio data on them (aka audio tracks) count against the track limit.
