Default Enable Icon's for Pro Tools Studio...go on...

Dear Avid, please consider enabling Icon Controllers for Pro Tools Studio. You've given the mid tier some fantastic features that were previously Ultimate only, it's just one more little thing. I understand you want to sell more S1's and Docks, but there are plenty of us on older perps that will never come back on to sub until our Icons burst in to flames, but gladly would if studio become icon enabled, The S1's don't hold a candle to what the Icons have feature wise, and the S6 while it is one of the most beautiful units you've ever made just isn't an option financially for some, and there is nothing in between. The icons have served you so well, throw them a bone..you'll probably get a decent ROI from the new subs traffic the move would create. Just some food for thought, probably wishful thinking, but never the less...
Thanks

Have you tried the Neyrinck V-Control software? It was designed for other DAWs to work with D-Command but might work with Pro Tools Studio. If not, it’s worth a shot reaching out to Paul Neyrinck to see if he can add in support for PT Studio.

I did. He said only if it’s a demand he’d support it.

From what I read on the neyrinck facebook page, there is enough demand and he is adding D-command Okay, let me rephrase that as I misread his post. But I would bet there is plenty of interest(everyone with PT Studio should bomb his facebook page with requests). Since it works by making the surface appear as a HUI controller(and HUI works with other versions of PT), I would think it would be a pretty simple thing(fingers crossed).

Yeah Paul's a genius and already has the pro control working with Pro Tools so that's likely the way it will go, of course he already has the D Command working with Logic and Nuendo, so might be just as easy to go to one of them and not have to worry about paying ongoing subscriptions, get native atmos rendering etc..
