Fat32 and mac
I currently have a Lacie external hard drive for storing and recording. It came as Fat32 formatted. Is that ok ? Will it be different if I format it with my mac ? And will my pc be able to read it then ?
What is the ideal way to set up your hard drive ?

Re: Fat32 and mac
I switched from PC to Mac about a year and a half ago. At the time I was using 10.3.2 on a DP 1.8 G5 and a PC - going between the two computers with a FW800 formatted at FAT32 was fine... however, when I connected the drive to my Mac, I only transferred projects to the secondary drive in my Mac, I never actually ran (at the time Nuendo) on a Mac with a FAT32 partition for actual audio recording.
Your PC will not read HFS (Mac format) w/out 3rd party software. So, you will have to keep FAT32.
