Default Freezing a track crashes session

Some tracks I can freeze just fine and others cause PT to crash. If I restart and try again on the same tracks it will crash again. It doesn't seem like there is a common theme, like it's always with a particular plugin.

The plugins on the two tracks I just experienced this on have these plugins: Sound Radix Auto-Align, Fabfilter Pro Q-3, Slate Virtual Mix Rack, and Sound Toys Decapitator. They are 2 mono room mic tracks. Both with same plugs.

Any suggestions?

Does this happen if you freeze without any plug-ins?

I just did an experiment. It does not crash with no plugins or with Auto Align and VMR. So I guess Distressor is the guilty party. I've seen this exact same thing happen before with Effect Rack. So Sound Toys needs to address this.

Meanwhile, try using Commit up to this Plugin on the last plugin on those tracks. If that works without the crash, I would stop using track freeze(I actually did a long time ago) and use Track Commit. As long as you don't delete the original track, its always available if you need to make changes

Ditto! I found Track Freeze too limiting and much prefer Commit.
